They become more experienced as time goes on and their consistently excellent customer service can offer the hair stylist possible raises, or even a promotion to a manager or supervisor of their own store. There is also always the opportunity, for those who are able, to eventually open their own hair salon or barber shop. If their store does really well, they can make quite a decent living at it as well.
The starting pay for anyone just getting into it really isn’t high, but it isn’t too bad. People who can manage a simple enough life can actually do quite well, especially if they love what they are doing. Though a person is not likely to get rich from doing this kind of work, there is the chance that their pay will increase with the opportunities they snatch up along the way. People who want to do well and put in the time and effort to do well at their job, do stand a good chance of making the higher pay in the end. It just all comes down to how much a person really wants to do this.
