Businesses all around the world rely on customer service, even though customer service will often be overlooked. High quality customer service is essential for any business that wants to succeed and have a good reputation. Without customer service, the business would be in poor shape and would have to shut down. It seems silly that business can overlook the quality of the customer service their employees give out. As most businesses are striving to be the one to get the customers, one would think that customer service would be one of the items at the top of the list to focus on. Unfortunately, it is often forgotten about and neglecting the quality service that they employees give out only leaves room for the business to go down in the level of customer service they give out. For most of the businesses currently operating in the world today, this is very much the case. This is why more than half of the companies graded are either a level one, a level two, or a level three. Fortunately, there are businesses out there that have actually acquired the level four in customer service.

What is it that makes a business a level four in customer service? What makes a business a level four in customer service is its consistency in the excellent customer service that is provided. There is a customer service trainer who is always available to train new employees, plans for improvements in customer service are created and then initiated, have great reputation in the community and very little compromising is needed. A business that has a level four in customer service obviously cares about its customers and takes the time to improve customer service whenever they get the chance. It also shows that the business wants to succeed and this can only really be done when customers are valued and taken care of properly. Customers are who bring money into the business. Without them, the business could not exist as there would be no profits, no money to reinvest and no money to pay employees with.

What would it take for a business to move from a level four in customer service to a level five in customer service? It really wouldn’t take very much at all. With a little work and effort, the business could easily be moved into a level five, which is the highest level any business can be. Level four is so close to being in the highest level, one would have to wonder why the business didn’t work to get there. If ignored, the customer service can slide down the levels and this is not what any business wants. To slide down from a level four to a level three would just not do for a business that wants to uphold its reputation. For this to happen, management might have slumped, allowing employees to be less conscious about how they are treating the customers. Constant improvement in the customer service provided is necessary for any business wanting to become a success.
