Levels of customer service - Level 1 is poor

Thousands of businesses out in the world today are based on good customer service because it is good customer service that continues to bring in customers every day. When the customer service is not very good, then there tends to be a drop in the customers that will come to that business for their needs. Instead, they will go somewhere else where they feel their business will be better appreciated.

There are five different levels of customer service. Level one is poor, level two is acceptable, level three is good, level four is excellent and level five is world class. In the end, it is hoped that all businesses will strive to have world class customer service. This would mean they have customers coming to them all the time because the customers feel their business is appreciated and they feel at home with that particular business and its employees. Unfortunately, not every business has the level five, world class customer service. There are actually some businesses that have the level one, very poor customer service and this does not speak well for the business. To have such low levels of customer service means there is a lot wrong.

What causes a business to be a level one in customer service? Well, the service would never be consistent and not very good. There always seems to be people leaving and people being hired to fill positions, making it seem like the business has a revolving door for its employees. There does not seem to be any real organization, customers are not well looked after, forgotten and often ignored by the employees, and there does not seem to be any management around. This often causes bad feeling in the customers and they will stop coming to that business for their needs. They will start going somewhere else that has better customer service. A business that has level one customer service will often close down, or if it hasn’t it should. A business cannot possibly call itself a business if they can’t even look after their customers properly. Without customers, there is no business. It is customers who come back that bring in the money to the company. This is the money the businesses reinvests in itself with, pays its employees with and make a profit with. Without money, how is the business going to keep going? It typically won’t. Often a business this bad will close it doors and call it quits. There is no point in trying to make it any better because there is obviously little or no drive to do any better. If there is not drive to do any better in its treatment of customers, then there is no need for it to be around. Customers are what make the moneys. It really is just common sense in the business world.

Being a business that has been classed as a level one in customer service is definitely not something to be proud of. It means you either need to make a radical change, or just go out of business. Of course, with a level one in customer service in the first place, why even bother? Perhaps it is time to just shut down the business and find something else to do.
