There was a time when flight attendants were pretty women who would hand out the food and beverages and who would ensure that the passengers were comfortable during their flight. Now, just about anyone can be a flight attendant if they want to. Both men and women have the opportunity to fly anywhere around the world, all the while making sure that the passengers are comfortable and enjoy their trip to wherever it is they are going. Flight attendants get discounts on the flights they decide to take are an added plus for anyone who decides to go into this job, though anyone who decides they want to become a flight attendant have to pass all the requirements. There is a certain height requirement, as flight attendants have to be able to reach the luggage compartments above the passenger's heads. Flight attendants also have to be available to work on weekends and holidays and can often be away from family for long periods of time. Some people might not be able to pass all the requirements and on top of that, the pay is not overly high. On average, flight attendants make about the same as what estheticians or fitness workers make a year.

Flight attendants have to deal with customers every trip and this is where customer service comes in. Flight attendants are required to give out excellent quality customer service so that the customers will enjoy their flight and hopefully fly with the same airlines again. Trips can be quite stressful for a lot of people, especially if they are not a fan of flying, so having a flight attendant who can provide great customer service can often make the flight more enjoyable than if the service was poor. Poor customer service could only increase a passenger’s discomfort and make them irritable, which would not help in making them want to fly the same airlines again.

For anyone who loves to fly and meet new and interesting people every day, this could be the perfect customer service job for them. There are lots of people who have been flight attendants for years and have enjoyed nearly every minute of it. It is a customer service career that many have enjoyed and many will enjoy in the future, especially with some of the opportunities available, such as the discount on flights when they decide to fly somewhere on their time off. On top of that, flight attendants get to fly to different places in the world while they work and so basically have the opportunity to fly around the world. There might not always be the chance to get out and look around in between flights, but it can be nice to say that they have been to many places around the world that many other people can only dream of being. It really isn’t a bad job for those who love it and this is where the pay does not really matter as much. It is decent enough to live on for those who have the simpler life and are away from home a lot anyways. Lots of people apply for this job all the time, so many in fact that many people have to be turned away because the positions get filled so quickly.
