For anyone who loves the casinos, the gaming tables, who like being around people when they are at work and who love to handle money, this is another good customer service career to try. There are a lot of people who will work the jobs like these while they go to school, or throughout the summer until their classes start again. There are also a lot of people who will do this for a living and can honestly call it their career. The pay is pretty good, most of the people who come in are there for a good time and a gaming dealer gets to joke with the customers who they deal cards for. The pay is actually quite good and anyone who goes into this kind of job is essentially in a party atmosphere nearly all the time. Most people who go into casinos are often there to have a good time with friends and play games. The odd person who comes in who might cause a little trouble are almost always escorted out by security so the chance of having to deal with unruly people almost never happens. Most of the casinos will also provide some form of training for the new employees, so it is really quite easy for anyone interested to get into.

How is a gaming dealer a customer service career? Gaming people are the people who stand at the tables and keep the games going as well as watch over them. They will converse with people, usually provide the service of dealing the cards and are there to help ensure the calm and happy atmosphere for the people sitting or standing at the tables. The gaming dealer is expected to give the high quality customer service that the casino says it will provide. This is what will help bring their customers back again in the future to spend their money and have a good time. If customers don’t have a very good experience and have received very poor customer service, they might decide never to come back and that is what no casino wants. They want return customers, much like any business does.

A person who loves being a gaming dealer can easily turn this job into a customer service career. For those gamin dealers who have decided to work at the same place for a number of years and have shown that they are good at their jobs as well as excellent with the customers, they may be given the opportunity to advance within the business and become more involved in it. While this might be a slim chance, there is always the possibility. Of course, most of the gaming dealers who have decided to keep their jobs for years enjoy what they do too much to leave the job that they are doing to move on somewhere else. As mentioned before, the pay is quite good for someone in this position. On average, gaming dealers make more that estheticians, hair stylists and fitness workers. Not to mention that there is always the chance of a small raise every so often for those gaming dealers who are doing very well and stay in the casino for a few years.
