															A Baker Helper, is responsible for providing a supportive role to Bakery staff in the preparation of baked goods and ingredients. Their duties include organizing and labeling food items in storage closets, performing tasks like chopping ingredients and sanitizing their work station during and after service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work in a team environment with a high degree of professionalism while handling multiple priorities to produce efficient service;
Plate items as requested during meals and suggest pairing desserts with wines, cocktails, and other dessert beverages;
Be Proficient in Cake Making;
After receiving each week’s BEO, responsible for creating detailed production lists and assigning tasks to pastry cooks each day;
Ensures all food is prepared and served in a timely, organized, and efficient way;
Responsible for streamlining and scaling all recipes, new and old;
Ensure all food items are held at the proper temperature
You will follow proper food handling techniques utilizing Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) , ServeSafe, and facility policies and procedures;
Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times;
Perform “other” job related duties as assigned by management which achieve the established goals of the company, campus, and the clients.
Requirements
Excellent oral communication and listening skills;
Must be reliable, responsible, polite, groomed, and articulate;
Responsible for the proper handling of all equipment;
Six months experience in kitchen operations and execution;
Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly and do the occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds);
High School Diploma or equivalent.
