Customer Support Engineer Jobs description
A customer support engineer is responsible for handling customers' technical issues related to the service subscribed or product bought. Specific duties of a customer support engineer position include receiving queries or complaints from customers related to the company's products, understanding and interpreting customer's problems, taking required steps, troubleshooting the system, finding erroneous segments, repairing, attending training sessions, guiding junior customer support engineers, following up and reverting back to the customer with service updates. A customer support engineer typically reports to a customer service manager.A customer support engineer should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree combined with a technical qualification that supports the customer support engineer role. Excellent academic credentials and strong technical knowledge in the area may help. Prior experience in this field may be advantageous. Excellent customer service skills are necessary.
