Customer Service Director Jobs description

A customer service director is responsible for supervising the entire customer service division of the firm. A customer service director is typically responsible for the quality and effectiveness of customer service being provided, providing vision and strategic leadership to the customer service division, evaluating the performance of customer service managers, allocating resources to the employees, ensuring that various customer service campaigns run successfully around the organization, participating in strategic management of the organization, and promoting quality customer service environment throughout the organization. A customer service director typically reports to the vice president.
A customer service director should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. An MBA or other post-graduate degree might be required for some positions. Excellent academic credentials are required. Several years of progressively responsible experience in customer service is essential for any customer service director role. Strong ability to lead and motivate others is required.
