Customer Service Agent Jobs description
A customer service agent is primarily responsible for receiving inbound calls from customers and solving their problems. Specific duties for a customer service agent role include receiving incoming calls from customers, understanding their problems or requests, interpreting the available details, forwarding requests or complains to the concerned departments, keeping record of account details, processing customer requests, making follow up calls, and performing other tasks assigned by the customer service manager. A customer service agent typically reports to a customer service manager.A customer service agent position may be available with a call center, service center, customer support center, or helpline/customer service department of a company.
A customer service agent should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree. Prior experience gained from a customer service agent may be beneficial. Excellent customer service skills are very important for any customer service agent role.
