Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (extended hours when requested)

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Corporate Outreach Director, the Regional Account Manager is responsible for increasing the visibility of Columbia Southern University programs to potential students and learning partners in the specified region. The Regional Account Manager will work remotely within the assigned territory, managing and implementing strategies to build and maintain relationships for increased student enrollment. The Regional Account Manager will provide exceptional customer service in all aspects of the job duties listed below. The preferred candidate will reside in the specified area.

Essential Job Tasks

Additional duties may be assigned.

Develop, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive and innovative recruiting strategy.

Service existing accounts/relationships for leads and referrals.

Identify and recruit new partner organizations and students; cultivate relationships for leads and referrals.

Develop relationships with local educational institutions, business organizations, and community groups to stimulate interest and coordinate recruitment strategy.

Create and conduct effective sales presentations; possess superior presentation and influential skills.

Schedule meetings to generate leads.

Request materials and maintain inventory for education fairs, visits, and events.

Execute all travel arrangements necessary.

Participate in conferences as needed.

Keep management informed by submitting activity and result reports, such as weekly work plans, weekly summaries and monthly territory analyses; regular visits with management.

Maintain database of all sales and prospecting activities, documenting all information in CRM on a daily basis.

Meet and exceed measures provided by management adding to team results.

Remain current with University and program knowledge and new developments.

Prudent use of company funds and reconcile credit card expense receipts and reports

Promotes, maintains and enhances workplace culture within the Corporate Outreach department and the university.

Education & Experience

Requires a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or five (5) years of related experience with a minimum of sixty (60) college credits completed and progressing toward an undergraduate degree.

Minimum 4 years of demonstrated sales in outside business development, consultative sales or account management with a proven track record.

Equipment Used

Office equipment including computers, telephones, printers, faxes, and copiers.

Software use include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Blackboard, CRM, PowerPoint and internal database software.

Work Environment

Works primarily within a climate controlled environment in a cubicle setting mostly sedentary with frequent sitting, occasional walking and lifting, and frequent near vision use for reading and computer use, while on campus.

Environment will change drastically while traveling to events, and will require extended periods of standing, walking, and the ability to assemble and dissemble displays at conference, events, etc. Employee must regularly lift and/or transport up to fifty (50) pounds. Noise level is generally moderate.
