Call Center Agent Jobs
A call center agent is responsible for making outbound calls as well as receiving incoming calls from customers. The typical duties of a call center agent include calling up customers or prospects from the available contacts; explaining the products available for sale and the features; convincing prospects to buy products or services; fixing up appointments for sales executives; handling objections from customers; taking customer details, verifying and closing the sale; providing customers with necessary information and solving their problems. A call center agent typically reports to a call center manager.
A call center agent should have an associate\'s degree or a bachelor\'s degree. Prior experience as a call center agent is beneficial. Excellent customer service skills are a key trait for a call center agent position. Fluency in English and a pleasant telephone manner are essential. Bilingual skills may be advantageous for some positions.
