Customer Service Specialist Jobs description

A customer service specialist is responsible for dealing with service related queries, complaints or requests of customers. Specific duties of a customer service specialist position include receiving incoming queries or complaints from customers through phone calls or from visitors, understanding the problem faced by the customers, providing more information on service aspects to the customer, forwarding requests or complaints to the operations team, keeping record of all the transactions made in the area, following up to ensure that the customer service problem is resolved, calling back on customers to inform about the steps taken, and promoting a positive customer service environment in the organization. A customer service specialist typically reports to a customer service manager.
A customer service specialist should have an associate's degree or bachelor's degree. Experience gained from a customer service specialist role is desirable. Excellent customer service skills are required for a customer service specialist position. Familiarity with MS Word and Excel may be required.
